Determination of The Effect of Salicylic Acid Application on Salinity Stress at Germination Stage of Bread Wheat

Under changing climate, abiotic stresses especially salinity have posed serious threats to modern crop production systems of staple crops and chemo-priming with salicylic acid offers a promising remedy. The present study aimed at ameliorating the adverse effects salt stress through optimization (SA) for two bread wheat genotypes (DZ17-1 Empire Plus). trial was comprised different SA levels including 0, 0.5, 1 mM applied seeds exposed (0, 50, 100, 150, 200 NaCl). response variables included germination indices, roots length, weight along seedling traits. results revealed that increasing level had negative effect on both all traits studied. DZ17-7 genotype found be more tolerant stress. Among concentrations, imparted significant influence germination, root traits, parameters. Although showed positive in conditions study, further studies are needed clarify role providing tolerance plants.
